Photographers can enter the PhotoArt competition in four age groups: Adult (17 years and older), Youth (between 13 and 16 years old, Senior Child (between 9 and 12 years old) and Junior Child (8 years or younger). Photographers will only compete with other entrants in their own age group. The competition is open to residents of the Town of Halton Hills or members of the Halton Hills Camera Club.

There are eight categories for the adult age group and every photographer can enter a maximum of 12 images. The entry fee for adults is $5.00 per image. The categories for the adults are:

There are two categories for the youth and every photographer can enter a maximum of 6 images. The entry fee for the youth is $2.00 per entry. The categories for this age groups are:

Both Senior and Junior children age groups have a single, category
"My favourite things" and they can enter a maximum of 3 images in total. For both age groups there is a total entrance fee of $2.00 due.

Model release form
It is a requirement of the Halton Hills Camera Club that a model release form is submitted for all pictures containing an identifiable person(s) as a primary subject.

Although not a requirement of entry, it would be appreciated if all entrants could provide a copy of their images in jpeg format on digital media (CD, DVD, memory stick, etc.) in order to facilitate showing images on awards night.
