Anything goes. Images can range in subject from indoor & outdoor settings, people, pets, animals, portraits, scenery, architecture, structures, still life, etc. Members can enter 4 images, colour or mono (singular hue). NATURE Restricted to all things that are wild and not showing human influence. With a few exceptions, images showing the "hand of man" should be placed in the Pictorial category. Images of cultivated flowers are not allowed in the Nature category unless they play only an incidental part in the image. Images of captive (but not domesticated) animals are allowed. For tethered birds, the tether should not be in evidence. Also, if a wild bird or animal is pictured as being on a man-made structure such as a fence post or a fence, the image can be included in the Nature category, as long as the object is very incidental to the main subject and is a minor part of the image. A ‘good’ Nature Photograph strikes a balance between aesthetic appeal and authenticity. Members can enter 4 digital images. Note: the truthfulness of Nature Images as seen through the viewfinder should not be altered, however, the elimination of minor foreground or background distractions is permissible. CREATIVE Digitally manipulated or abstract images that represent an innovative technique or a departure from realism. Original image must have been taken by the photographer with a camera. Images can be manipulated either in the camera (multiple exposures, special effect filters, etc.) or by using digital editing. Members can enter 4 images, colour or mono (singular hue).
